Job Summary
To help fulfill the mission of Northbrook Church (“making compelling followers of Christ”) through the Strategy of Discover Grow Share in the ministry of Pastoral Care.
Provide Pastoral Care for the Northbrook Congregation and oversee ministries of a similar nature
Education
· A Bachelor of Arts degree is preferred with an emphases in Pastoral Ministry or Care
Experience
· Experience in Pastoral Care work

· Ability to recruit, train, and effectively lead volunteers
· Must possess the relational skills needed to work with members, staff, and pastors

Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee all hospital visitations.
· Provide Pastoral Care appointments for congregation members.
· Serve as the point of contact for all weddings and funerals.
· Serve as the primary officiant for weddings and funerals.
· Develop Pastoral Care teams and mentors.
· Oversee all “healing” life groups (Grief Share, Divorce Care and Celebrate Recovery and mental health groups) and Senior Adult Ministries.
· Connect with members and regular attenders.
