Children's Ministry Director

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Children’s Ministry should relate well with children and have a desire to see them come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to help them grow in their faith as they learn more about Him. The director is responsible for all programs and events involving children 4th grade and under.

RESPONSIBLITIES / DUTIES

1. Create a worship experience on Sunday mornings for children.

2. Implement and organize a Wednesday night Awana Program during school year.

3. Coordinate nursery volunteers.

4. Plan and lead a day camp in the summer.

5. Plan and organize Spring and Christmas programs or musicals.

6. Communicate the church’s approved safety policy to all volunteers using necessary steps to put the policy into practice.

7. Build relationships with parents/families.

8. Oversee budget, recording expenditures.

9. Recruit volunteers for all programs and activities as needed.

10. Team player in all church events.

11. Willing to serve as needed in other areas of ministries as assigned by Senior Pastor to meet the mission.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time position (40+ hours a week)

Salary is established by qualifications and experience.
