DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRIES
An exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant Youth Ministry (6th-12th grade) at Wesley Church - a large and growing United Methodist Church located in Springfield, Missouri.
Basic Job Description:
Provide oversight, leadership, teaching and equipping of leaders and students in the Youth Ministry of Wesley Church.
What We’re Looking For:
- Volunteer Recruiter | Be a recruiter and developer of leaders that will invest relationally in the lives of youth. The position will require the leader to equip others to connect relationally with youth throughout the week.
- Biblical Teacher | Be a teacher of God’s Word that leads youth to understand and apply the Bible and their faith in daily life.
- Shepherd Leader | Be a shepherd that provides care and support to students, their families, and volunteers
- Organizer/Dreamer | Be a dreamer/organizer of events and trips that foster connection with youth and move the mission of the church forward.
- Technically Skilled | Be proficient in the use of technology and other social media to reach/communicate with youth.
- Team Player | Be an enthusiastic and supportive member of the staff team as the champion for the Youth Ministry.
Compensation:
Competitive and commensurate based on experience.
