Preschool Director

-Oversee the administration, program, curriculum, personnel, and registration in the Kindergarten and Daycare programs.

-Keep all aspects of the Kindergarten and Daycare in compliance with state regulations.

-Promote the kindergarten and daycare as a ministry of First Baptist Church.

-Maintain, at all times, high quality child care standards based on developmentally appropriate practices.

-Oversee the nursery and preschool department of the church.

First Baptist Church was founded in 1883. Its rich heritage continues to influence the church to this day, as they celebrate all that God has done throughout its history and move, hope-filled, into its exciting future.

A thriving Sunday School program brings members of all ages together to learn deeply from God’s Word each and every week. The church takes great pride in their exemplary Music Ministry, with multiple opportunities for all to participate. Additionally, FBC’s commitment to and support of local and global missions is without doubt. Located in beautiful Columbia, Mississippi, First Baptist Church is in a small community with access to a number of big cities and the gulf coast.

Founded in the early 1800s on the banks of the Pearl River in the Mississippi Territory, the settlement was first named Lott’s Bluff. In 1819, the City of Columbia was formally incorporated and would soon serve as Mississippi’s temporary capital from 1821 to 1822 before LeFleur’s Bluff (now Jackson) was selected as the permanent capital. Today, approximately 7,000 residents enjoy the casual lifestyle, quality of life, and convenience Columbia affords with New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Jackson, Hattiesburg, and the Gulf Coast all within easy reach. Residents and visitors alike enjoy a taste of genuine southern hospitality in this “city of charm on the River Pearl.”

Located just south of Jackson and only a couple hours from New Orleans, Columbia truly is in the heart of the south, offering great food, culture, and gorgeous views. Students can attend either excellent public schools in the Columbia School District, or attend Columbia Academy, a private Christian School.
