STAFF SUPERVISION

• Paid Staff

• Volunteer Staff

• Supervise Teamkid/ Awana Commander, Directors, Leaders; Sunday School Teachers; Nursery/Preschool/Children’s Workers.

• Recruit, interview and screen potential volunteers.

• Obtain volunteer worker application and perform a Criminal Background Check on each worker.

• Schedule/conduct yearly training sessions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ministries and Responsibilities

o Supervise/facilitate functioning of all Children’s Ministry programs.

§ Sunday School

§ Nursery

§ Kids Church

§ Summer Camp

- Ministry Outreach

o Coordinate and facilitate outreach opportunities.

§ Fall Festival

§ Vacation Bible School

o Attend Church-wide visitation opportunities.

o Contact visiting families with children and new members with children.

· Ministry to Members

o Counsel with children/families as necessary.

o Provide “I’m A Christian Now” resources to children who have made professions of faith.

o Contact and/or visit children/families as required (hospitalized children, newborn babies, etc.)

· Administration

o Communicate regularly with parents/volunteers regarding schedules, events, changes.

o Oversee all preschool/children’s facilities in regard to maintenance, upkeep and usage.

o Attend staff meetings.

• Finances

• Create an annual budget for all areas of Children’s Ministry.

• Fill Out Expenditure Notification Forms, attach receipts and give to Financial Secretary.

• Purchase supplies and snacks needed for weekly use.

• Purchase equipment for nursery/preschool/children’s department.
