Brambleton Presbyterian Church has been worshiping since December 2005 and was officially chartered in October 2011. We are a young, vibrant and growing faith community located in Loudoun County, Virginia. We are devoted to sharing God's unique offer of grace in Jesus Christ and focused on leading people to a saving faith in Christ by offering opportunities to worship, grow, serve and give. Our church is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Led by a female Pastor and diverse group of Elders, our church remains committed to building and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that reflects and represents the communities and congregation we serve.
As we continue to grow, we currently seek to hire a part-time Worship Leader & Creative Arts Director with the following characteristics, qualifications and leadership abilities.
Christian Faith

- experienced in helping others form deeper faith in Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible study and other team building spiritual disciplines

Worship & Creative Arts Team Leadership Expectations
- accomplished musician; proficient in singing and/or playing an instrument (typically guitar/piano)
- enthusiastic, authentic and confident presence while leading worship
- perform project management duties for weekly “order of worship” details; develop team schedules; manage copyrights; coordinate with media, sound, livestream teams and hired guest contractors
- plan and lead the full scope of the creative arts team production and execution elements for live and virtual worship services
- experienced leading worship; solo or while leading a worship band
- understands and is proficient with the technology used in modern worship (digital soundboard, stage and in-ear monitoring, mixing, live-streaming, etc.)
- familiarity with, or willingness to learn SongSelect (CCLI), Planning Center Online and ProPresenter
- ability to produce chord charts, sheet music, guitar tabs or other form of musical arrangements, if necessary
- experienced at recruiting, mentoring and developing worship, sound, media and livestream teams from a wide range of talent, experience, age and backgrounds
- experienced at the mentoring and spiritual discipleship of band, media, sound and livestream teams comprised of a wide range of new and mature Christians
- able to maintain confidentiality
- familiar with current contemporary Christian music and the classic worship music offered at Brambleton Presbyterian Church
- strong and proactive communicator who gives frequent feedback to team members
- committed to cross cultural and interracial dialogue/partnerships
- exhibits flexibility in a changing environment (inclusive of in-person and distanced discipleship and virtual connectivity methods through COVID)
- comfortable delegating tasks and broadening responsibilities/ownership to team members
Typical duties
- Lead and host in-person Sunday worship; solo or with BPC band members at a minimum of twice monthly and on key holidays
- Conduct a weekly rehearsal with worship and sound team members
- Conduct a routine discipleship/mentoring faith-building component for the creative arts teams at BPC
- Produce chord charts, sheet music, guitar tabs; order of worship information; manage copyrights; coordinate with creative arts team members
- Participate in Sunday morning worship set-up and tear-down preparations (typically from 8am-12pm)
- Identify and recruit prospective creative arts team members
- Partner with BPC youth team to develop high school youth creative arts team members
- Partner with BPCKids Team to incorporate the BPC Kids Choir into worship
- Attend regular Tuesday meeting with the Pastor and/or elder, unless agreed upon otherwise
Terms
- Approx. 20-24 hours a week total, negotiated remotely and in person as appropriate
- In partnership with creative arts elder support and lead into the vision of Brambleton Presbyterian Church
- Read, sign and support all employment policies
- Submit monthly timesheets in a timely manner
