Job Overview
The Food Service Supervisor will report directly to, assist, and support the Food Service Manager/Head Chef to fulfill the mission, vision, and commitments of HoneyRock’s food service. The Food Service Supervisor assists the Food Service Manager/Head Chef in all kitchen operations including food preparation, menu planning, and sanitation procedures. This is a professional, full-time position located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Housing on site may be available.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Food Service Manager/Head Chef with:
Assume command of the food service operation in the absence of the Food Service Manager/Head Chef while fostering a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
Manage special dietary needs, providing tasty, nutritious meal options that meet the unique dietary needs of our constituent base.
Supervise the bakery with delivery of new and exciting scratch-made baked foods. Develop signature baked items.
Oversee the trip kitchen and wrangler meals by collaborating with High School Adventure Program Manager and Equestrian team to ensure all wilderness trip meal offerings are tasty, diverse and geared toward ease of packing.
Provide cross-departmental planning and support as a member of the core professional staff of HoneyRock by participating in strategic planning, staff retreats, ministry assessment, and task forces as requested.
Serve as a resource for any additional functions.
