Minister of Children and Families

We are seeking someone called to serve as our Minister to Children and Families at Adaville Baptist Church. We need someone experienced and capable of serving full-time (40 hours a week). Must be available Sunday Mornings as well as Monday-Thursday in the office including Wednesday staff meetings and appointments with parents as necessary.

Must prepare and lead the ministry with over 20 children (and growing) on Sunday Morning Children’s Church, Wednesday night discipleship, and plan all Children’s activities including Holiday events. Must work with the Nursery Coordinator to oversee and secure volunteers for the Nursery on Sundays and Wednesdays, as well as secure childcare for Church functions that require it. Must work with Sunday School teachers regarding training and curriculum. Position functions with the cooperation of the Children’s Ministry Team.

The salary range is $30,000 - $37,500 and is based on education and experience. The position is full-time salary plus benefits. We would like someone to met these requirements:

· Fully Devoted Follower of Jesus Christ

· Expresses both calling and giftedness to Children’s ministry

· Bachelor’s Degree (any higher education is excellent, but not required)

· 2 Years minimum on Church Staff

· Experience Leading Team of Volunteers

· Experience with church of over 100 members

· Experience with Pre-K through 6th Grade

· Knowledge of Current Curriculum and how to train others in them

· All applicants must pass a background check and align with our Safe Church Policy

· Must have basic computer skills and some knowledge of apps and other church-based software

We're a church of about 250 in weekly attendance (and growing) with a blended worship style and solid expository preaching. We align with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. At Adaville you'll find a relaxed atmosphere with a multi-generational congregation with folks showing up in suits, jeans, and/or shorts. Our church is currently in a revitalization effort focusing on disciple-making and wants a Children's Minister with a deep love for God's Word and a vision for a growing ministry to children and families.
