Role: Children's Ministry Pastor  

Friends Church in Willoughby Hills, Ohio in search of their next Children’s Ministry Pastor. Friends Church exists to help the Family of God grow in their Faith, find Freedom, and build a better Future. We are a large, growing church in the suburbs of Cleveland and we are looking for a strong, collaborative leader to oversee all aspects of Children’s Ministry. This person will oversee the ministry impact of the birth through 5th-grade ages within Friends Church NextGen Ministry. Essential parts of the job will include team development, parental development, implementation, and assisting the development of Friend’s NextGen Ministry Scope and Sequence. They are looking for someone to love and care for the volunteer team leads, teachers, and helpers who are vital to handling the growth of the Children’s program.

Responsibility: 

• Commit to doing whatever is necessary in biblical accordance to accomplish the mission and vision of Friends Church.  
• Active participation in the planning, implementing, executing, and closing all Buzz Event Initiatives (All church events) at Friends Church.  
• Be an active participant in creating opportunities that lead to eternal salvation.  
• Commit to helping in the discipleship of believers at Friends Church to help the Family of God grow in their faith.  
• Active participant in shepherding God’s flock according to 1 Peter Chapter 5. 

Area Specific Responsibilities: 

• Shepherding all areas related to kids ministry including teaching, serving, planning, and mentoring
• Developing and maintaining a relevant, challenging year-round curriculum that engages children that emulates the mission of Friends Church
• Oversee organization, administration, and supervision of all aspects of Children’s Ministry (e.g., early childhood, children's worship, 4th & 5th Grade, and kids-to-parent faith milestones).
• Maintain communication with the congregation, other Friends ministries, and in our community.
• Responsible for innovating new ways to reach kids with strong, Biblical age-appropriate teaching.

• Fruitful ministry experience

Located in northeast Ohio, Willoughby Hills is flourishing suburb considered one of the most picturesque communities in northeast Ohio, it still maintains the delicate balance between country and city.  The city encompasses about 11 square miles, through which the Chagrin River has carved a scenic valley to the east. With a population of approximately 9,485, Willoughby Hills has a delicate balance of residential and commercial areas, including several boutique-style restaurants, specialty stores, and five major automobile dealerships.  It is also the home of facilities operated by two of the major area hospitals, The Cleveland Clinic and The Lake Hospital System, as well as individual offices of dozens of medical specialists.
