Youth Minister

Part-time position to develop and maintain strategies that will allow First Baptist Church to minister to 6th – 12th grade students. First Baptist Church is a church in Soddy Daisy with a rich history and tradition.

REQUIREMENTS:

● Establish annual goals, objectives and plans to implement the youth ministry strategies with the help of a student ministry leadership team.

● Plan and oversee all youth activities and programs with a primary focus on Sunday night youth services. This will also apply to youth retreats, mission trips, other special events and responsibility for all youth related classes (6th – 12th grade).

● Promote intentional discipleship with students.

● Build relationships with the students and parents through a variety of fun and purposeful activities.

● Develop and promote biblically-based education through Sunday School and other programs.

● Provide areas of service/ministry for students.

● Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to the students.

● Recruit, train and oversee volunteer youth staff.

● Maintain open communication with church staff, parents, youth, and members of the congregation.

● Attend scheduled staff meetings

FBC Soddy Daisy is a church that loves Jesus and wants to make him known among the nations. Our goal is to be a neighborhood church for the nations - loving those closest to us and those who are far away for the sake of the Gospel. Our mission here at FBC is to know Jesus and make Him known! We provide avenues to make that happen by worship gatherings, Sunday School classes, discipleship groups, and service opportunities.
