Associate Director of Student Ministry

Responsibilities

• Provide Pastoral Ministry with the Student Ministry team (Students, parents of students, leaders, and the Student Minister) and coordinate the training of others to do likewise.

• Preach in a rotation with the student pastor.

• Assist in coordinating weekly student gatherings.

• Assist with student leadership in providing opportunities for members of the student ministry team to be directly involved in missions and ministry – both locally and outside the community.

• Coordinate training and mentoring of students sensing a call to ministry vocation.

• Coordinate the enlisting, discipling, training and motivating of adults to serve in student ministry.

• Share the gospel with lost students and lost parents on an ongoing basis, both individually and cooperatively.

• Assist in creating and implementing an overall student evangelism strategy for the church.

• Coordinate and implement promotional material through social media and contacting the students to engage them in the ministry.

• Network with other evangelical student leaders in the community to support students in strengthening their bonds as “THE CHURCH”.

• Work together with other staff members and church members to support all functions of the church.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Personal conversion experience with Christ and a call to ministry

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and ages

• Willingness to grow and develop personally and spiritually
