Worship Leader

Are you interested in living near the New York City metro area? Have a passion for reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus and making disciples in an area of great need?

Crossroads Church of LI is an outreach-oriented, multigenerational, and diverse church in Farmingdale, NY, looking for a worship leader to become a part of our church. We are a smaller church seeking to partner and work with a Worship Leader to help lead our worship team and church to make disciples and live passionately for Jesus.

The ideal candidate will love and serve Jesus, catch the Crossroads Church vision, and run with it, bringing a fresh, passionate approach to worship. We are searching for someone to lead the weekly worship service on Sunday, be a part of our team, and reach out to our community as a worship leader.

Applicants should love people and the gospel and be comfortable connecting with people in the community. In addition, the applicant should play acoustic guitar or keyboard and feel comfortable leading and singing alone in a worship service and collaborating with a team of musicians. The Worship leader role is a part-time role with a stipend, plus a housing option available for a single person (includes all utilities and internet), after a successful guest-leading experience. The position starts at 5-6 hours weekly but with growth opportunities. The job is a co-vocational role, which would require outside employment to encourage meeting new people and, as necessary, to provide for needs.

Prior experience in a New York/Northeast USA church setting is a plus.
