Senior Pastor

Allen Baptist Church in Prestonsburg, Kentucky is seeking a full-time pastor.

Candidates MUST follow the Baptist Faith and Message and belong to a Southern Baptist Convention church. Candidates must also meet the spiritual requirements of a pastor as listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

Allen Baptist is seeking a man of God who thoroughly researches his sermons and is personable to the members of the church and locals in our Eastern Kentucky community. Expectations of the pastor would include keeping regular office hours and home/hospital visits within reason. We would also expect him to attend meetings with the Enterprise Baptist Association of Churches (our local association) and the Kentucky Baptist Convention.

Pastor candidates are recommended, but not required, to have at least five years experience as an associate pastor in a church. Candidates are also recommended but not required to have some level of seminary or similar schooling equivalent education. Salary will be based on experience and education.

Allen Baptist Church exists to carry out the Great Commandments (Matthew 22: 37-39) and Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20) of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are located in Eastern Kentucky and are very involved with our local church association and the Kentucky Baptist Convention. We are the mother church of a local church plant, The Branch, located in the Lancer community of Prestonsburg. Allen Baptist is seeking to serve the Lord in several different ways and reach out to our local community.
