First Christian Church located in the small, yet diverse, community of Beardstown, IL is actively seeking a Full-Time Pulpit Minister who is a believer and ordained minister of New Testament Christianity, of excellent character, and experienced in wide range of pastoral duties and types of interactions with their congregation. Our current pulpit minister has served with our church for 30 years and plans to retire in April 2023.
The ideal candidate will have the ability and experience to prepare and present weekly sermons, demonstrate leadership skills in working with different groups of people (elders, church staff, congregation, and other community leaders), actively participate in our educational ministries, and bring energy and excitement towards our goal of growing our church body by bringing people to an ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities will include pastoral duties, administrative guidance for the church office staff, partnering with the administrator of our affiliated school (Beardstown Christian Academy), and continuation of personal development aligning with Christ’s teachings.
