JOB TITLE: Youth Pastor STATUS: Full Time/Salary
REPORTS TO: Senior Pastor SCHEDULE: Minimum of 40 Hours Per Week

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The youth pastor will create an environment where teens can be saved, transformed, and grow in Christ. This person must walk closely with the Lord, as teens need to have the Christian life modeled before them. The youth pastor will need to coordinate frequent meetings with parents/guardians to communicate the goals and plans of the ministry while also receiving valuable feedback. The youth pastor will also support Upward Basketball, VBS, and other ministries as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ The senior pastor will supervise the youth pastor and share feedback and support in weekly staff meetings.
§ Responsible for the Youth ministry budget creation, presentation to the finance team, and accountability for disbursement.
§ Will attend funerals of church members and assist as needed
§ Coordinate services for teens on Wednesday and Sunday nights. (typical service involves feeding the teens, music, preaching/teaching the teens, and fun and games after the service – volunteers help with this as well)
§ Assist in Upward Basketball as Co-director and assist with VBS.
§ Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with the Youth Ministry Team for planning and feedback.
§ Assist with social media and other digital outreach avenues
§ Promote and organize volunteers to teach the teen Sunday school class
§ Evangelization and discipling our youth. Which includes building relationships with them by supporting their school activities. (for example visiting athletic events, other school functions, and significant life events as time permits)
§ Oversee youth fundraising activities
§ Ensure safety screenings and protocols are followed
§ Understand the needs of young people (grades 6-12)
§ Must be approachable and friendly – deal with conflict biblically
§ Supportive of the church's overall ministries, missions, and leadership
§ Participate and form a relationship with local ministries such as Impact Yadkin and DNOW
§ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
§ Bachelor's degree in ministry preferred
• At least 2 Years of Ministry Experience
• Ordained – And a clear testimony of salvation.
MISCELLANEOUS
• Must pass background and driver's license check
• Obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement (paid for by Richmond Hill)
