Senior Pastor

Our Redeemer Evangelical Free Church located in Midland, Michigan, is seeking its next Senior Pastor. This is an encouraging church family, dedicated to maturing in their faith and compelled to serve their community and the world. They are an intergenerational church family that desires to live out the gospel in the community where they live. The Senior Pastor role is to encourage a deeper relationship with God for His glory and purposes. The Senior Pastor leads the mission of the church through communicating the gospel by preaching teaching, developing equipping leaders, and shepherding discipling the congregation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Prioritizing prayer and the teaching of God’s Word.

• Glorifying God by making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ.

• Being the primary preacher and teacher of the Scriptures.

• Providing pastoral leadership to the church.

• Leading the Elders, staff, and council in developing a strategic ministry plan.

• Being the primary equipper of the church for both ministry (internal) and mission (external).

Skills you’ll need to have:

• Possess a teachable spirit and a willingness to seek the counsel of others.

• Have experience in and the ability to recruit, train, and develop leaders.

• Dedicated to the study of the Word, committed to lifelong learning and molding by the Holy Spirit.

• Ordained with the EFCA or willing and eligible to pursue ordination from the EFCA within two years.

• Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary
