Grace Crossing Church – Beavercreek, OH

Part-Time / Hourly Position

Grace Crossing Church (GCC) is seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and mission-minded Bookkeeper to support the financial stewardship of our church. This role ensures that our financial processes remain accurate, transparent, and aligned with the vision and ministry of GCC. The Bookkeeper will work closely with and report directly to the Lead Pastor.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping for all church financial activity
• Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank accounts
• Assist the Executive Pastor in preparing, monitoring, and maintaining the annual budget
• Update and maintain financial software and systems
• Ensure internal financial controls are followed
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for church leadership
• Assist with preparing annual financial reports for the congregation

HR & Administrative Support

• Assist with payroll and employee benefits processes
• Help onboard new staff regarding payroll, reimbursements, and benefits
• Maintain organized employee financial and HR files
• Ensure compliant administration of payroll and benefits
• Assist with managing insurance benefits (health, life, vision, dental) and communication with brokers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
• 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
• Experience in a nonprofit or church setting strongly preferred
• MBA or CPA is a plus
• Familiarity with Asana and Church Center/Planning Center is preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Emotionally mature, solutions-oriented, and able to collaborate well with staff and ministry leaders
