Lead Pastor

Oak Hill Church in Humboldt, Iowa is looking for a Senior Pastor to join their team. The church is seeking a Senior Pastor who will fulfill God’s vision for Oak Hill through effective communication and relational skills. The next pastor will lead and direct the preaching, teaching, and discipleship ministries, and ensure that a biblically-based message of significance is delivered with passion and excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Acting as the leader and shepherd of the staff and church.

• Seeking God’s direction and developing His vision for the church in a way that maximizes the gifts and resources available.

• Identifying and developing gifted women and men.

• Directing the preaching, teaching, and discipleship ministries.

What skills you need to have:

• A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ is evidenced in daily life.

• A passionate, heartfelt love for people with a Christ-like concern for their spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

• Be an excellent recruiter of gifted leaders and a strong encourager to all.

• Have earned a Master’s of Divinity.

• Excellent preacher and communicator of Scripture.

Humboldt County is a rural farming community. Humboldt is the largest town in Humboldt County and is a relatively affluent city for its size compared to other rural communities. Their community is friendly, quiet, and safe. They are a charming community with a Midwestern work ethic and it is a family-friendly town with a lot of community spirit.
