The purpose of this position is to partner with the Body of Christ at New Heights Church to cultivate a generationally transcendent culture of worship that beholds God, invites His Presence, honors Jesus as King, and ushers in the Kingdom of Heaven.

The primary focus is to cultivate this vision through the function of Worship Team leadership, care and administration. Additionally this person will seek to equip and empower leaders and musicians that carry the calling, anointing, and skill to serve the movement of God through music, both at New Heights and beyond. This focus will oversee all aspects of music, A/V, tech and setup of weekly worship gatherings.

The secondary focus will be to bring leadership to other areas of ministry within the church that align with the skills and gifting of the Worship Director, under the leadership of the Directional Leader.

New Heights Church Siloam was originally planted by New Heights Church Fayetteville in 2015. We are currently in a season of replanting and welcomed a new Directional Leader in August of 2023. As we move toward the next phase in the life of our church, our elders have sensed the need to bring in a gifted Worship Director to lead our worship ministry. The Worship Director will have the opportunity to work with a strong team of musicians and vocalists within our church to cultivate a heart for spirit-led worship that brings life and vitality to our weekly worship gatherings. We currently meet for worship at the Siloam Springs Middle School on Sundays at 10am with community groups that gather throughout the week.

This is an opportunity to build a strong, vital worship ministry within a church that has a strong desire to worship and to do so with a team of musicians who are ready to be led. This is an opportunity to be part of replanting a church in a vibrant, growing community in one of the most desirable places to live in the country (Northwest Arkansas). A strong bonus is our relationship with our planting church and their vibrant worship ministry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to living a life of discipleship. They will be proficient in playing at least one musical instrument and leading worship through music. They will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. They will be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and take initiative. They will have a heart for the community and for the church and understand that in this season, all staff members are general-practitioners who wear multiple hats. Both the Directional Leader and Worship Director will carry leadership of multiple ministries while maintaining their primary ministry focus.

Our intention is that this be a full-time position with salary and benefits, but we are willing to consider part-time applicants who also want to continue to work and minister in the marketplace.
