Pastor

The Tabernacle-Manistee is seeking a full-time pastor to lead alongside our tenured campus pastor. This individual will have a focus on students and young adults as well as supporting leadership and growth of a five year old campus. This campus is home to roughly 200 people each weekend and between 20-30 students each week. The Tabernacle is committed to outreach throughout the Manistee community as well as discipleship of those who attend regularly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a spiritual leader of the location and help bring vision of The Tabernacle to life with a focus on students and young adults.

• Manage and shepherd TABstudents and Young Adults facilitating weekly meetings.

• Build relationships with those who attend the location.

• Perform administrative functions as needed to support the congregation , volunteers and teams.

• Develop and lead a team of committed student ministry and young adult volunteers to disciple students and young adults.

• Plan and execute local outreach events and initiatives in the local community and schools to invite new students into the ministry.

• Grow and develop into the secondary leader of the campus, preparing to support leadership and fill the role as needed.

• Develop staff and volunteers at the location by helping them develop their gifts to the benefit of the church.

• Identify, recruit and develop key ministry leaders.

• Create and implement systems and structures related to the location and provide insight in achieving measurable goals for the location and the church consistent with current systems.

• Work with the Church Director to manage and execute a budget for the location.

• Develop, communicate and execute strategic ministries plans for the volunteers, staff and congregation on location.

• Work in cooperation with the campus pastor building relationships, facilitating programs and managing teams.

• Follow all Tabernacle policies, procedures and guardrails.

REGULAR TASKS

• Teach or build a team to teach biblical Christ focused messages to students under the direction of the Church Wide Next Gen director.

• Organize and execute weekly Student Ministry and Young Adult meetings.

• Build, develop and train teams to support weekly meetings.

• Support weekend services speaking, teaching or assisting as needed.

• Provide spiritual counsel to the congregation in partnership with the campus pastor.

• Travel to Buckley for weekly All Staff Meetings and participate as appropriate.

• Review and contribute to student ministry and young adult content ideas.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Passion for Jesus Christ and His Word.

• Meets the requirements of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

• Commitment to serving as a domino within the community.

• Growing relationships with Christ, an active prayer life and a servant’s heart.

• 3-5 years pastoral leadership experience or equivalent leadership experience combined with strong biblical literacy.
