Worship Pastor Job Description

Crossover Church of Rosedale is a growing church in Bakersfield California. We are searching for a Worship Pastor to develop and lead a Jesus-centered worship ministry at Crossover Church. The Worship Pastor will serve as the primary worship leader and oversee the health and development of all worship leaders and musicians. To be successful at Crossover, staff must be experienced and fruitful in:

• Leadership: Nurturing and Supporting Leaders, Guiding and Empowering Teams, Attracting and Mentoring Volunteers, Inspiring and Empowering Staff and Ministry Directors

• Discipleship: Dedicated to Equipping Disciples, Particularly through the Ministries under Your Care

• Communication: Proficient Communicator, Confident Speaker, Effective in Articulating Biblical Principles

Job Overview

This position will be a Pastoral role. It is not simply overseeing our worship and music ministry, but it is also a position of shepherding. This person will also oversee our member care. They will meet with new prospective members each week and help them on the path towards membership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000 per year

5 percent retirement

We accomplish this vision by a commitment to faithful bible study, prayer, and evangelism. Our goal is to make disciples of all nations! Our Worship service regularly consists of expositional preaching and music that is faithful to the Scriptures! We are a church that believes that fruitful discipleship takes place in the fellowship of other believers, therefore we are committed to small group Bible studies on Sundays and throughout the midweek!

The church was in serious decline 6 years ago, but God has been gracious and the church has been thriving since the Lord had mercy on us all those years ago! We are a church primarily filled with young families. We have an average of about 230 in attendance every Sunday morning! We are planning to move to two services in the year 2025.

We are not a perfect church, but by God's grace we are trying to be a faithful church.
