Woodburn Baptist Church is seeking to hire a full-time Worship Pastor to lead the Worship Ministry in a way that will inspire and enhance congregational, spiritual worship at Woodburn Baptist Church through the gifts of music, prayer, and the sharing of scripture. Using these gifts as well as creative arts, the Worship Pastor will seek to glorify Christ through effective, vibrant, and participative worship in a blended, multi-generational approach and through the discipleship of the Worship Ministry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise and/or lead all aspects of the Worship Ministry at Woodburn Baptist Church while also collaborating with other ministry areas for the overall ministry of the church (for example the worship/music experiences for other ministries like children & youth).
- Enlist, select, train, develop, and disciple worship leaders and other musicians/vocalists who serve in the Worship Ministry. Communicate well in advance and plan and coordinate weekly rehearsals, including management of online planning software such as Planning Center Online as it relates to Worship Ministry (excluding tech volunteers)
- Minister to the spiritual development and needs of the Worship Ministry participants and volunteers and provide spiritual counsel as needed
- Maintain a collaborative and positive working relationship with the Technical Director
- Work with the staff in the planning of all congregational services of the church, be responsible for all worship elements to include music selection, and coordinate such with ministry team members using online software
- Keep informed of current music and worship trends, utilizing them where/when appropriate
- Provide oversight of the music library and working inventory of all musical instruments
- Develop and administer an annual budget for the Worship Ministry with Worship Committee involvement
- Maintain regular office hours in alignment with pastoral staff
- Lead/oversee adult choir program
- Actively participate in staff meetings and the general life of the congregation and serve as staff liaison to other committees as assigned/needed
- Actively participate in pastoral care such as hospital and home visitation in coordination with other staff members
- Lead the Creative Ministries Team to take care of seasonal (i.e. Christmas/Easter) decorations in both worship spaces as well as common areas such as the lobby
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor as necessary for church growth and overall ministry
QUALIFICATIONS
- Evidence of a mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ
- A life of personal integrity and marked by a calling to this role
- Current or future (when hired) membership at Woodburn Baptist Church
- Proven ability in vocal competency
- Ability to play guitar/keys is preferred and ability to read music/chord charts is essential
- Must possess a passion to lead others to participate in genuine worship
- Proven strengths in leadership and administrative management are essential
- A bachelor’s degree or commensurate working experience is required
- A master’s and/or seminary degree is preferred
- Proficient use of current software and technology is vital and expected
