The Associate Pastor of Youth and Family oversees all youth programming and environments for Christ’s Church of Amherst, a ministry that supports roughly 10 regularly-attending children and is also preparing to receive a larger group of incoming students. This includes weekly programming and other events. They recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to provide engaging opportunities for students to learn about Jesus. They will lead the charge to develop creative opportunities to build purposeful connections with students in the surrounding community (e.g., high schools and middle schools wherever possible) and also make space for students in the church to discover and grow deeper in their faith.
The Associate Pastor of Youth and Family is also a part of the outreach culture and structure of Christ’s Church, investing time in events, follow-up classes, and creating fresh opportunities to reach more people.
Lastly, the Associate Pastor of Youth and Family provides edification to the church through relevant, biblical preaching and teaching once every 4-6 weeks.

Personal Traits
Christ’s Church is looking for someone who can supportively work under its mission statement, bylaws and statement of faith.
Christ’s Church of Amherst (CCA) is a community of Christ-followers in Southern New Hampshire on a mission to celebrate people, pursue wholeness and discover God. There are no strangers at Christ’s Church. We welcome people from every place on their spiritual journey–followers, seekers or just the curious–to join us on a journey of discovery.
Christ’s Church of Amherst is a Strategic Partner of Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA. That means that we work closely with Grace Chapel to serve our community in the best way possible. Much like a campus of Grace Chapel, we live-stream the teaching of Grace Chapel’s senior pastor on a normal Sunday. We also receive teaching from our own senior pastor in person about once a month. The combination helps us to provide excellent, biblically sound teaching while meeting other needs in our community such as vibrant outreach, meaningful life group experiences and personal ministry. However, Christ's Church has autonomy in terms of governance.
