40 hours per week, to be shared between the Contemporary Worship and Youth Ministries.

Contemporary Responsibilities

• A calling for contemporary worship.

• A willingness to work with a team as we build a contemporary worship service from the ground up that will reach those in our surrounding community.

• The White Bluff Contemporary Worship Leader will work with the Senior Pastor and others to fulfill the vision and culture of contemporary worship at White Bluff Methodist Church.

• The Worship Leader will be expected to provide leadership and direction of the contemporary worship service and other special events

• Additionally, he or she will work to ensure a cohesive vision and direction for these services, and occasionally, assist in combined (traditional contemporary together) as often as once a quarter.

• We will be building our contemporary worship service from the ground up in a multicultural context, incorporating traditional elements of worship with prayers, creeds, etc

• The Contemporary Worship Leader will work with others to plan and lead this worship service, and other worship environments at White Bluff, and must be able to lead people and teams effectively.

Youth Responsibilities

• A calling for youth ministry.

• Responsible for all aspects of ensuring the spiritual growth and development of students grades 6 through 12 and college age Students. This includes preparing and facilitating the Sunday afternoon youth supper at 5:30 and Bible study at 6 pm.

• Plan and execute periodic special events (camps, conferences, trips, service projects, etc.).

• Provide overall theological direction in accordance with the beliefs of the Global Methodist Church found in the catechism and Book of Doctrines and Discipline.

• Develop student and adult youth leaders.

• Be involved in the lives of youth and youth parents through hands on relationship building in the community (school and extra curricular involvement).

• Model strong and relational Christian leadership to the youth of the church.

• The Youth Pastor will work in cooperation with the Pastor in ministering to the students’ families as we strive to build community within our White Bluff Methodist Church family.

• Coordinate with the Youth Ministry Advisory Council.

Additionally, the Director will need to have their family attend and participate in the ministry life of White Bluff Methodist Church. We are a family oriented church, and it is important to us that all we do builds the kingdom of God through White Bluff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
