Position Overview:

The Worship Pastor will oversee all aspects of the worship ministry at One Church, including leading our Sunday worship services, continually building and training worship teams, managing our worship tech (including sound, A/V, stage equipment, stage lighting, ProPresenter, Planning Center, and LightKey), and creating powerful and meaningful worship experiences. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about worship, skilled in leading teams, has a Pastor’s heart, and has a passion to serve and grow with a dynamic church family.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Worship Services: Plan and lead worship during Sunday services and special events, ensuring a seamless and engaging worship experience for all attendees.

Team Development Training: Recruit, train, and equip worship and tech team members to grow in their musical and technical skills and spiritual maturity. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and service.

Worship Planning Coordination: Manage and oversee the worship sets for each service, utilizing tools like Planning Center and SongSelect to schedule, organize, and communicate with team members. Ensure that all church media use is in compliance with current copyright laws and regulations (CCLI/CVLI).

Tech Oversight: Ensure all technical aspects of worship (sound, A/V, cameras, lighting, ProPresenter, etc.) are coordinated and functioning smoothly. Work closely with the tech team to troubleshoot and improve the worship environment.

Stage Management: Ensure stage readiness (equipment maintenance, set up, stage lighting, etc.) for all Sunday worship and Wednesday night (youth) services.

Set Creation: Curate and design worship sets that are aligned with the overall vision of the church, connecting worship with the sermon themes and the church’s mission.

Recruitment: Actively recruit new musicians, vocalists, and tech team members to ensure the worship ministry remains strong, diverse, and vibrant.

Collaboration: Partner with the Lead Pastor and other ministry leaders to align worship with the overall vision of the church and contribute to church-wide events.

Time Requirements:

· Attend all regular worship services.

· Weekly Staff meetings.

· Time “in office” is required, but flexible, depending on the needs of the ministry, as approved by the Lead Pastor.

· Attend/lead meetings, trainings, coaching sessions or other events as needed

· Special events and activities.

Qualifications:

· Impeccable character and a vibrant spiritual life.

· Meets the Biblical qualifications of a Pastor as defined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

· Minimum of 2 years experience in worship ministry, with a heart to serve and lead others in a growing church environment, with an emphasis on contemporary worship styles (Hillsong, Elevation, Gateway, Vertical Worship, etc.)

· Basic knowledge of music theory and ability to create chord charts and song arrangements.

· Proficient in leading worship musically (vocally and/or instrumentally) and spiritually.

· Strong technical aptitude; experience with worship and production software (Planning Center, ProPresenter, LightKey, etc.) and basic audio/visual equipment management.

· Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on training and equipping team members.

· A heart for worship and a passion for creating transformative worship experiences.

· Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, while being a self-starter who can handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

· A servant-hearted attitude with a commitment to personal growth and development.

Preferred:

· Pastoral Ordination from a recognized evangelical denomination or church.

· Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Theology, Biblical Studies or Worship Ministry.

· Experience in church sound design, digital mixers, and live streaming, using Sub/Aux/Matrix mixes (experience with PreSonus Series III mixers a plus).

· Advanced knowledge of worship software, including Planning Center and ProPresenter.

· Working knowledge of DMX stage lighting: design, routing, addressing and programming of DMX stage lights with MIDI/Macro integration to ProPresenter from LightKey.

· Ability to create eye-catching graphics and animated bumper videos using Canva.

· Experience with basic web design within a CMS framework (no coding required).

Our Beginnings:

At the end of 2010 a small group of people began meeting and praying together with a burden to see God move in a mighty way in Western Oklahoma. To see people actively living out their faith and reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2011, the Lord provided a small storefront building to begin gathering together and putting feet to this God given vision. As the church outgrew this storefront, the church purchased an old bank where the church currently meets. After several renovations, the church continues to grow and we are now looking forward to a new chapter as we pursue a building expansion. The mission from the very beginning and holds true today is “Be the Church.” This principle has permeated every aspect and ministry of One Church.
