PASTOR OF WORSHIP AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

THE OPPORTUNITY

3Circle Church Midtown is seeking a full-time Pastor of Worship and Leadership Development who loves Jesus, develops people, builds healthy systems, and can help lead ministry in a genuinely multiethnic and multigenerational church.

We are looking for more than a strong musician or Sunday worship leader. We want a pastor, builder, and developer who can create a healthy worship culture, strengthen volunteer ministry, establish leadership pipelines, and help people grow as disciples and leaders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Worship Leadership

Lead engaging, Christ-centered worship for Sunday gatherings and other campus events.

Recruit, disciple, train, and develop worship team members and future worship leaders.

Build a worship ministry that reflects the community's cultural and generational diversity.

Plan services collaboratively with the Campus Pastor and other ministry leaders.

Build dependable systems for scheduling, rehearsals, communication, music preparation, and volunteer care.

Use Planning Center effectively for team scheduling, service planning, communication, and worship preparation.

Prepare and utilize Ableton Live for tracks, click, cues, and other worship-production needs.

Use ProPresenter effectively for lyrics, media, sermon content, and worship-service presentation.

Shepherd worship team members spiritually and relationally.

Leadership Development & Volunteer Systems

Build and strengthen a clear leadership pipeline that identifies, develops, and deploys new leaders throughout the church.

Establish practical pathways for spiritual development and leadership development.

Equip ministry leaders to disciple people, build teams, and reproduce leaders.

Provide oversight and support for campus-wide volunteer systems, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, communication, and care.

Strengthen systems that help people move from attending to serving, growing, and leading.

Identify and empower existing leaders while intentionally developing the next generation of ministry leaders.

Work with ministry leaders to build healthy, sustainable volunteer teams rather than relying on a small number of people.

Participate fully in the overall ministry, mission, and staff life of the campus.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Spiritual & Theological

A growing relationship with Jesus and character consistent with biblical leadership.

Strong alignment with 3Circle Church's theology, mission, and values.

Baptist-compatible theological convictions preferred.

Commitment to evangelism, discipleship, missions, and the local church.

Leadership & Development

Demonstrated experience building, rebuilding, or growing ministries and teams.

Proven ability to identify, recruit, develop, and empower volunteers and leaders.

Experience creating leadership pipelines or intentional pathways for discipleship and leadership development.

Strong organizational, communication, and ministry systems skills.

Ability to develop healthy systems while maintaining a relational and pastoral approach.

A multiplication mindset that measures success by the development of other people—not simply personal performance.

Musical & Technical

Strong vocal and instrumental leadership.

Working knowledge of music theory, including keys, chord structures, arrangements, transitions, and vocal/instrumental parts.

Proficiency with Planning Center, particularly scheduling and service planning.

Proficiency with Ableton Live in a worship environment.

Working proficiency with ProPresenter and church media presentation.

Ability to prepare musicians and vocalists through clear charts, arrangements, rehearsal planning, and musical direction.

Worship & Culture

Experience leading worship in a multiethnic and multigenerational environment strongly preferred.

Ability to lead across musical styles and cultural backgrounds with humility and authenticity.

Experience ministering in the South, or demonstrated ability to understand and engage Southern culture and relationships, preferred.
