Two Baptist churches one Pastor: Seeking a Pastor to oversee the weekly operations of each church and pastoral care including facilities management and administrative functions as a Shared Pastor between two Baptists churches. (location Moline & Rock Island)
Primary Responsibilities:
· Pastoral Care—the Pastor will represent the congregation in the community
· Assure weekly , timely Pastoral care for those seeking baptism, marriage, healing, encouragement, and spiritual direction. This responsibility that can be shared with staff. Be a communicator, organizational leader, team-builder.
· Develop and execute a plan for spiritual and professional growth within churches.
· Responsible for planning and orchestrating worship services which are relevant and faithful to Scripture. This responsibility can be shared with Pastor and members of the staff.
· Help implementation of the vision of the church and the development of the staff and ministry leaders. Plus assist in yearly outreach events and missions and fellowship support.
· Help with administrative detail[JF1] s, financial, operational-facilities, legal, risk management, and human resources and ministry development. This includes the development of ministry action plans, financial budgeting, operational strategy, metrics tied with outreach strategies, and the ongoing development with helping monitoring of control systems designed to expand the church’s assets and report accurate financial results to ensure financial health.
The Candidate Qualifications
Be able to give testimony, as well as preach and teach the truths of God’s Words.
· Persistent and resilient while pursuing the mission of the church and the realization of the vision of the church.
· Previous experience in church leadership, Academic pastoral training , pastoral ministry, or a related field is highly desirable.
· Experience in managing staff, leading teams, and overseeing church operations is preferred.
· Excellent communication and social skills
· Salary based on qualifications
· Education: Degree in theology, preferred experiences in ministry and ordained within the ABC-USA network or have ordination recognized by the ABC-USA.

History: The First Baptist Church of Rock Island was founded in 1837, making it a long-standing institution in the area. Then 1957 relocation of Church went to 3020 30th Street Rock Island current location. First Baptist Church of Moline was founded in 1852 and then move to 1901 29th street Moline, current location in 1901.
Our Moline Facility:
Within the last year significant improvement projects were completed.
Our facility is a one-level practical design of Sanctuary next to Fellowship Hall and excellent kitchen. The education wing has a number of classrooms of different sizes.
Our Rock Island Facility: Is two levels, handicap accessible on main floor and serval classroom/ rooms and bathrooms on lower floor. Main level has sanctuary, parlor, offices, fellowship hall, bathrooms and full kitchen. We also have outdoor green spaces and picnic shelter
Our Setting Location: First Baptist Church’s Moline and Rock Island located in the heart of the Quad Cities metro area along the banks of the Mississippi River. We are the largest metropolitan area on the Mississippi River between Minneapolis and St. Louis. The Quad Cities includes five principal cities and a total population of 467,000. The Quad Cities is full of Industry, art, and agriculture. Our Quad Cities offers a wide variety of cultures and diversity.
