Job Overview

To bring disciple-making leadership to our student ministry at Willowdale Chapel's Jennersville campus. The primary focus for this role is with students (5th-8th). The primary charge is to oversee our preteen 5th 6th grade ministry (56ers) and our Middle School ministry (7th 8th grade).

This position functions as part of our NextGen team that aims to build a pipeline of discipleship for kids thorough young adults at both our campuses.

The candidate for this position will work closely in partnership with a current Jennersville campus High School pastor and will be a part of our larger cross-campus student ministry team. This Willowdale Student (WDS) team works closely together to lead our students a s a collective whole across campuses.

Position Priorities in Ministry

Ministry Ethos: Have a heart to make disciples that make disciples. It's important to adopt and operate in alignment with Fuller Youth Institute's Sticky Faith/Growing Young principles and the values of Willowdale Student Ministry (WDS) across both campuses.

Sundays: This is a key ministry programming day with morning and evening gatherings. Our 5th 6th grades, called 56ers, meets during our 9:00 a.m. service most Sunday mornings during the school year and function during this time like a more traditional Sunday School. The key oversight and leadership of this 9:00 a.m. program is expected in this position. Our student ministry programming runs on Sunday evenings, during the school year, and this roles takes the lead with our middle school students. Partnering with a team of leaders, Sunday evenings is a key time for discipleship through large and small group gatherings.

Teach Live the Gospel: This position is responsible for collaborating within our NextGen team to plan, write, and deliver content for our 56ers (5th-6th grade) and Middle School (7th-8th grade) programs in a way to ensure a gospel-centered teaching framework.

Disciple Students: Be the point lead for contact work (on-campus and off-site) and engage directly and regularly with students. Building relationships with an emphasis to 5th-8th grade students is important to ministry success. We have a strong emphasis on relational ministry.

Job Qualifications:

• College degree or ministry equivalent experience

• Volunteer or church staff experience in ministry or para-church organization - preferable working with kids or students.

• Demonstrated team player
