Associate Pastor of Worship
The First Baptist Church of Aberdeen, North Carolina is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship. The Associate Pastor of Worship provides key leadership for the congregation’s needs in regard to music, including congregational singing, worship choir and special events. The Associate Pastor of Worship assists in the overall shepherding of the congregation with the other pastors, including, spiritual leadership, teaching, visitation and other needs that may arise. He should be committed to the theological distinctiveness of the Baptist tradition and affirm the content of The Baptist Faith and Message, 2000. He must meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7. It is preferable that his theological education be completed before assuming responsibilities, but consideration may be made if the candidate is still in the process. He should be a gifted vocalist and musician with the ability to lead the praise team and direct the worship choir. He should be technologically adept and willing to learn the church’s technology as it relates to worship, including sound and media (Planning Center, Proclaim). He is to be self-motivated, have a teachable spirit and function well as a part of the leadership team. He must be willing to submit to thorough background check.

Our congregation is Christian in its faith, Baptist in its convictions and polity and evangelistic in its heart.
