Senior Pastor

MINISTRY POSITION

Our church is prayerfully seeking a senior pastor to provide continued vision and vibrancy to the ministry. We are a KJV, unaffiliated Baptist church with faithful members who are looking forward to seeing God's will for our future. We our located in Moran, Kansas (southeast Kansas), about an hour and a half south of Kansas City. Our membership is comprised of loving Jesus followers eager to pursue God’s leading in rural America.

The call will require preaching, teaching, pastoral care, communication, and counseling while seeking God’s will through continued growth in his relationship with Jesus Christ to fulfill the mission. This senior pastoral role must demonstrate compassion, humility, and dedication to God’s Word through the Holy Spirit's leading and must meet the criteria of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.  There is also the responsibility of continuing to lead people into growing relationship with Christ while training and equipping the church to minister to others with expectations of producing disciples for Christ.

MIDPOINT BAPTIST CHURCH

We have an average attendance on Sunday mornings of over 160 and multiple Sunday school classes for youth, teens, college/career and a young adult class. A loving nursery is provided as well. Our services include Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, and Wednesday night prayer time and Bible study. God has blessed us with a new 14000 sf facility that was completed in the last few years. The sanctuary has an occupancy of +250 and over 2500 sf of classrooms. There is also a 4000 sf fellowship hall with a full servicing kitchen. We are debt free and have healthy savings for future growth as God leads.

MISSIONS

Continuing support and developing strong relationships with over a dozen missions located in Japan, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Mongolia, China, Peru, UK & the United States with an intentional direction for enhanced missions.

MINISTRIES

Promoting local outreach with activities including Vacation Bible School, Teen Youth Advance, Men and Ladies Bible Studies. Objectively create community involvement and enrichment to lead and grow others to Christ.
