Food Service Manager / Chef

Laurelville Retreat Center – Mt. Pleasant, PA

Laurelville, a Christ-centered retreat center serving over 25,000 overnight guests annually, is seeking a Food Service Manager/Chef to join our dedicated team. We host a wide variety of groups—churches, schools, non-profits, and camps—who come to experience renewal, connection, and hospitality in our beautiful setting.

Position Highlights:

  • Competitive wage & full benefits package – including housing in an on-site apartment.
  • Duties are approximately 75% cooking / 25% administrative (ordering, scheduling, supervising).
  • Collaborate with two other full-time cooks and a supportive kitchen team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in catering, food service, or as a sous chef.
  • Ability to manage a kitchen with excellence, creativity, and efficiency.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and hospitality.
  • Understanding of dietary needs.
  • Ability to carry out the physical duties required for commercial kitchen work.
  • Current ServSafe certificate preferred (not required)
