Job Description

Position Overview

  • We are looking for a passionate, energetic Youth Pastor to lead and grow our Hills Youth Ministry. You’ll have the opportunity to lead students in an already thriving ministry with room to expand. The Youth Center includes:
  • A dedicated space that seats 130
  • A full-sized sand volleyball court
  • A basketball court
  • An outdoor patio area
  • This position is ideal for a leader with a heart for discipleship, a vision for relational student ministry, and a desire to partner with families and volunteers to shape the next generation.


Goals & Expectations

  • Develop effective Youth ministry infrastructure and systems.
  • Lead a High School program on Sundays for grades 9–12 and a Middle School program on Wednesday for grades 6–8, focused on disciple-making with Worship, Biblical Teaching, Community (small groups), and fun.
  • Recruit and Develop a core team of adult and student leaders to build a ministry grounded in accountability, relationship, and growth.
  • Cultivate a “Serve Movement” among youth, encouraging students to serve in Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry roles.
  • Develop a summer experience for youth. (Summer Camp, missions trip, etc)
  • Lead a Youth Ministry that is not siloed of Hills Church but is a part of Hills Church.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and function as a full member of the Hills Church staff. This includes officiating weddings/funerals and other Pastoral Duties.
  • Must be present for Christmas and Easter
  • Other duties as assigned


Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to: Executive Pastor
  • Supervises: 3 Part time employees and Volunteer teams


Key Qualifications

  • College graduate preferred
  • Ministry degree from a Bible college or seminary is ideal, but we will consider candidates currently enrolled in a ministry program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth ministry, ideally in a church setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and communicate with youth in a culturally relevant and engaging way.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a heart for building relationships and nurturing faith.
  • Experience in recruiting and leading volunteer teams. 
  • Commitment to biblical authority and spiritual integrity. Embraces Hills Church’s doctrinal statement.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and church leadership.
  • Background check and drug screen required prior to employment.

Compensation & Commitment

  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with benefits
  • Compensation up to $55,000.00. It will be based on heart, experience and education.
