Position Summary
The Pastor of Kids and Family Discipleship serves as the chief visionary and motivator for our church’s ministry to kids and their families. This person will lead the charge in building a vibrant, engaging, gospel-centered culture for kids from birth through 5th grade, and their families. They will mentor, pray and supervise staff and volunteers providing a welcoming, loving, and safe environment that teaches the Word and Spirit of Christ and equips parents to disciple their kids. They will actively pursue ongoing refinement of areas of oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Education and Experience
This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a staff member in a kids ministry leadership capacity. Possession of a teaching or related degree is preferred. (Extensive ministry experience, in some cases, can be substituted.) A culture creator who knows how to shape environments with joyful, gospel-infused purpose, and has the gift of “woo” (winning others over), who thrives in building relationships and team momentum. A working knowledge of creative programming related to children’s classes and special events is a must.

Two Rivers Church exists to connect people to a caring family that is being transformed by Jesus to impact the world around us. 2RC launched in 2014 out of Two Rivers Knoxville, and since launch, we have met weekly at Ooltewah Elementary School. We own land in our community and are looking to move to a permanent home in 2026! We are located right in the heart of Ooltewah, Tennessee which is positioned between Chattanooga and Cleveland right off of I-75.
