Coram Deo is seeking a part-time Music Leader to help our church sing the truth of the gospel with clarity and conviction. We’re not looking to build a performance but build a people who sing. The right person will help our church lift our eyes to Christ, respond to His Word, and worship in a way that is rooted in truth, shaped by Scripture, and expressed with genuine joy.
Primary Function. This person is a growing, mature follower of Jesus who will lead Sunday morning music and singing. He will support other gatherings as needed, while cultivating a culture that is simple, theologically rich, and focused on Christ. This role is musical and leadership-driven (not pastoral), but carries meaningful spiritual influence as you help shape how our church worships together. This position is supervised by the Elders and reports to the lead pastor.

- Prospective member of CDBC and active participant in its ministries.
- Capable musician. Vocals; and guitar or piano required
- Experienced in platform and public leadership
- College Graduate. (Seminary assistance available)
- Proficient to manage media, software and web-based applications
- Dependable, teachable, organized, relational, and able to build a team
What You’ll Do.
- Lead Music. Lead congregational singing on Sundays and occasional special gatherings. Plan services in collaboration with church leadership.
- Choose Songs Wisely. Select biblically faithful, gospel-centered songs that are appropriate for congregational singing. Build a core repertoire while introducing new music thoughtfully under elder oversight.
- Build & Develop the Team. Recruit, schedule, and organize musicians and AV tech volunteers for all Sundays of the year. Invest in and raise up new leaders in both skill and character.
- Oversee the Environment. Ensure sound, equipment, and instrumentation are prepared and functioning well. Help create a distraction-free, excellent worship environment.
- Stay Organized. Communicate clearly and prepare the team ahead of time Manage basic systems for scheduling, charts, and service flow. Attend Staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Walk in Alignment. Live a Christ-like life consistent with the gospel. Love and lead your family in an exemplary way before the congregation. Joyfully submit to the leadership, vision, and oversight of the Elders.
What You’ll Give. (15-20 hours per week)
- Lead Sunday morning gatherings (48 weeks per year)
- Planning and participation in Easter and Christmas Eve services.
- Service leadership and a weekly rehearsal (10 hours/week)
- Organization and scheduling throughout the week (5 hours/week)
- Occasional additional gatherings throughout the year (5 hours/month)
