Senior Pastor

West Side Baptist church is located in Glendive Montana. Our mission shall be the advancement of the kingdom of Jesus Christ with the uniting of believers in fellowship for spiritual edification, exhortation, and comfort; and for the winning of souls to Christ and for the propagation of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through home and world missions. We believe in the Holy Trinity, the Virgin Birth, and eternal salvation upon sincere profession of a saving faith in the resurrected person of Jesus Christ.

The senior pastor would be responsible to:

1) Plan and conduct weekly worship services by preparing and delivering sermons

2) Hold special services during Easter and Christmas, conduct funeral services for community members, perform wedding ceremonies, conduct counseling when appropriate

3) Lead the church in an effective evangelism emphasis and in a caring ministry for church members and other community members

4) Act as a moderator of the church business meeting as needed

Candidates should have:

West Side Baptist church is located in Glendive Montana, close to the North Dakota border. We have a congregation of approximately 30-40 people, with hopes of growing our congregation in the future. We have replaced carpeting and updated the walls in the main worship area recently, and have just installed new flooring in the basement communal and Sunday School areas.

Glendive (population 4500-5000) is situated by the Yellowstone River and has a beautiful state park- Makoshika- right next to the city limits. We have an excellent school system, along with a great hospital which serves the city and surrounding areas, and a community college. Glendive is a safe, family-friendly town and the surrounding area has opportunity for many outdoor activities.
