Summary

Victory Baptist Church in Casa Grande, AZ is looking for a full-time Senior Pastor to lead and minister to the spiritual needs of the church and the surrounding community. The position includes teaching/preaching, planning and overseeing worship services, activities, administrative tasks and other duties typical of a Senior Pastor. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate Biblical knowledge in agreement with the church’s beliefs and doctrines.

Pastoral Duties

• Always show God’s love
• Lead the Worship Services
• Deliver well researched and biblically accurate messages designed to help the church body grow in knowledge and wisdom in the Lord
• Lead the Ministry Leadership Team,
• Visit with church members regularly, more frequent visits may be needed for those with needs.
• Communicate with deacons and trustees to provide for the needs of the church
• Provide representation for the church at related functions and conferences
• Partner with like-minded churches to develop or participate in church activities
• Facilitate the day-to-day operations of the church
• Guide and supervise the church staff
• Be a good steward of the church finances and estate

Requirements

• Meet the qualifications of a pastor as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
• Be able to articulate the reasons outlined in the Bible why persons need salvation
• Be able to articulate the salvation message, include what is required and what is not required
• Demonstrate good leadership skills while understanding and practicing grace
• Demonstrate good communication skills
• Must be willing to relocate to Casa Grande, Arizona
• 8+ years of experience as a pastor, associate pastor, or equivalent ministry

Preferences

• Bilingual in Spanish and English or experience in Spanish ministry
• Classes in Hermeneutics/Sermon Preparation
• Classes in business/financial management
• Church related music knowledge
• Be able to effectively promote the church through social media

Education

• Degree in Divinity or Theology, or related field.
