The O’Connell House is a 13-bed safe home for women who have been trafficked, who may also be pregnant and/or with small children. Our mission is to allow victims to become survivors by providing comprehensive services to restore dignity and allow healing to occur. The Program Director of The O’Connell House, TOH, reports to the Board of Directors (BOD) and provides leadership and direction through close financial oversight, the execution of funding programs, and the stable operation of the TOH for benefit of the women and children healing at TOH. The Program Director ensures the safety of all residents by hiring and developing staff, especially in Trauma Informed Care, TIC, overseeing a healthy volunteer program, and ensuring regular, effective training and education programs to meet regulatory and compliance requirements. The Program Director is accountable for the safety and healing programs for the women and their children and will lead a small team, who together with the Religious Sisters and volunteers, ensure the efficacy of programs and policies to meet the mission of the TOH. The Program Director will be the face of the TOH to the community.
