Overview

Realife Church exists to create a place people love so they can experience a loving God. With

over 2,500 in weekly attendance and a growing multi-site vision, Realife is entering a season that

requires leaders who can build for the future, not just lead for today.

We are looking for a Pastor of Student Ministries who is called, gifted, and equipped to cast,

carry, and lead others into vision. This role is for a leader who loves students deeply but is

equally passionate about developing leaders, building systems, and managing sustainable

growth.

This is not simply a programming role—it is a strategic leadership role with significant

influence on the future health and depth of Realife Church.

Purpose

The Pastor of Student Ministries exists to build a healthy, scalable, disciple-making Student

Ministry that reflects the mission and values of Realife Church and develops the next generation

of leaders.

This leader is responsible for casting a clear vision, carrying that vision with conviction, and

leading staff and volunteers to execute it with excellence. They oversee the spiritual formation

of students, the development of leaders, and the systems that allow Student Ministry to thrive

across campuses.

The Student Pastor owns the health, alignment, and future readiness of Realife Students—

leading with pastoral care and relational strength while demonstrating the clarity, courage, and

decisiveness required in a rapidly-growing church

Primary Responsibilities

Vision & Strategic Leadership

• Cast, carry, and champion the vision for Student Ministry in alignment with Realife

Church’s mission, values, and operating principles.

• Translate vision into clear strategy, priorities, and executable plans for staff, leaders,

students, and parents.

• Ensure Student Ministry is future-focused, scalable, and aligned with the broader

direction of the church.

• Serve as a culture carrier, modeling Realife’s values and leadership expectations.

• Think in years, not weeks, building ministry structures that can grow and endure.

Leader & Team Development

• Build and maintain a strong leadership pipeline for Student Ministry, including

students, small group leaders, coaches, and staff.

• Develop leaders who can lead others, not just fill roles.

• Provide coaching, feedback, and development for Student Ministry staff and key leaders.

• Identify, invest in, and prepare emerging leaders for increased responsibility and

influence.

• Create clarity around roles, expectations, and accountability.

Student Discipleship & Ministry Health

• Ensure students are moving from attendance → connection → discipleship →

leadership.

• Oversee student small groups, worship experiences, Motion Nights, camps, retreats, and

key environments.

• Champion a clear, relational, and effective discipleship pathway.

• Regularly evaluate ministry health and make strategic adjustments that support long-

term growth and spiritual depth.

Parent & Church Engagement

• Communicate clearly and consistently with parents, building trust and confidence in

Student Ministry leadership.

• Partner with parents in the spiritual formation of their students.

• Represent Student Ministry with excellence within the broader church and community.

• Collaborate with other ministry leaders to ensure alignment and integration.Experience & Core Competencies

• Demonstrated passion for discipling students and developing leaders.

• Proven ability to cast vision and lead others toward it.

• Experience leading ministries of meaningful scope and complexity (experience with 200+

students strongly valued).

• Track record of building and growing a ministry, whether from 50 to 100 or 150 to 250.

• Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills.

• High emotional intelligence with a strong leadership presence.

• Clear and compelling communicator to students, leaders, parents, and staff.

• Ability to lead through growth, change, and complexity.

• Pastoral heart paired with decisive, confident leadership.

• Alignment with the mission, values, and culture of Realife Church.

The best indicator of future performance is past performance. We are seeking more than passion and

clarity and conviction.

Our Story

In early 2007, God began to stir the hearts of Pastor Adam and Kristin Detamore about the idea of starting a church where people could experience the power and presence of God in a way that they could relate with. On May 6, 2007 Realife Church had its first service at Greenfield-Central High School. A year later we moved into our first facility on the west side of Greenfield.

Since then, Realife has seen Pastor Adam and Kristin’s vision come to pass each week as people from every walk of life join together to experience a loving God. We have seen thousands of people choose to follow Christ and connect to our growing church family. 

In 2022 we moved into what is now our New Palestine Campus, and in 2025 we launched our Greenfield Campus at Greenfield-Central High School. We believe we have only scratched the surface of what God wants to do in our community, our nation, and our world as we continue to create a place people love so they can experience a loving God.
