Position Type: Full-time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Position Overview

This leader oversees day-to-day execution, continually develops and equips staff, strengthens accountability, removes obstacles, and builds scalable systems that support campus growth and expansion.

The Executive Pastor ensures priorities are carried out with excellence, unity, measurable results, and careful attention to detail, freeing the Senior Pastor to focus on preaching, prayer, vision, pastoral care, and spiritual leadership. The ultimate objective is one healthy, aligned ministry organization in which Grace Park and Christian Community Schools advance a shared mission, steward resources wisely, and operate with clear communication and mutual trust for generations to come.

Primary Responsibilities

The following summarizes the position’s primary areas of responsibility. Additional details regarding the role’s scope and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

1. Vision and Execution

Translate the Senior Pastor’s vision into clear priorities, plans, budgets, systems, accountable leaders, and measurable outcomes aligned with Grace Park’s mission, doctrine, and governance.

2. Staff and Organizational Leadership

Lead, develop, and hold accountable ministry and operations staff while cultivating a spiritually healthy, joyful, collaborative, and high-performing culture.

3. Church–School Alignment

Serve as the primary operational liaison between Grace Park and Christian Community Schools, coordinating shared resources and strengthening communication, accountability, and alignment around one mission.

4. Operations and Stewardship

Provide executive oversight of finances, facilities, personnel, safety, technology, policies, major projects, and organizational risk to ensure effective operations and responsible stewardship.

5. Ministry Effectiveness

Strengthen ministry systems and support weekend services, discipleship, NextGen ministries, pastoral care, missions, and communications while participating in preaching and pastoral ministry as assigned.

Spiritual and Character Qualifications

  • A mature, growing follower of Jesus who demonstrates integrity, humility, wisdom, faithfulness, and biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership.
  • Affirms Grace Park’s mission, values, ministry philosophy, and Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to Christian education.
  • Leads with emotional and relational maturity as a humble, courageous, and gracious servant leader.
  • Speaks truthfully to the Senior Pastor, protects unity, handles conflict well, and executes decisions wholeheartedly.

Leadership Qualifications

  • Exceptional ability to turn vision into plans, systems, accountability, and results.
  • Proven leadership in a growing, multi-ministry, or comparably complex organization.
  • Strong organizational judgment, financial expertise, project leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead across reporting lines and navigate church–school complexity without creating silos.
  • Proficiency with budgets, goals, dashboards, policies, processes, and technology while remaining relational and ministry-minded.
  • Relational maturity and adaptability within a fast-moving, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to preach in church-wide weekend services with clear, engaging communication.
  • Ability to build partnerships, influence effectively, and build consensus among varied teams.
  • Proven ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, and lead solutions through rapid growth and organizational change without requiring close supervision.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate training in theology, ministry, business, organizational leadership, or a related discipline is beneficial, but not required.
  • Seven to ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience involving staff supervision, budgeting, strategic planning, and operational execution.
  • Previous church executive leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with a church-operated Christian school, nonprofit, or multi-entity ministry is highly valuable.
  • Demonstrated success developing leaders, improving systems, managing change, and completing complex initiatives.

  • Housing-allowance option
  • Healthcare-sharing benefits through Christian Healthcare Ministries
  • 90% tuition discount for children enrolled at Christian Community Schools
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Ministry and professional-development budget
