Youth/Young Adult Pastor

Village Church of Oak Park is a very diverse church of about 120 people. We are grounded in the historical application of scripture, while living that out in an area that is perfectly fine without God. We are looking for someone with a passion to disciple two very exposed and vulnerable age groups...youth and young adults.

This is not a maintenance role — it is a pioneering one. We are looking for a mission-driven leader who is energized by building something from the ground up. Our church currently has limited presence in the youth, college, and young adult demographics, and we are calling someone to help us change that.

The Youth & Young Adults Pastor will serve as the primary shepherd and visionary for emerging generations ministry — from middle school through young adult singles (roughly ages 12–35). This person will cast vision, develop strategy, build community, and lead programming that connects people in these life stages to Jesus, to one another, and to the broader church family.

The ideal candidate thinks like an entrepreneur, leads like a pastor, and loves people across a wide generational range. They will be comfortable with ambiguity, energized by potential, and committed to long-term, patient ministry in a community that is still being built.

Based on the job description, the educational bona fides are less important than real know-how. We are offering a $50k salary and a lot of flexibility.
