Position Summary:

The Kids Director provides leadership, vision, and execution for the children’s ministry of HOPE Church, serving infants through 5th grade. This role creates safe, engaging, and spiritually formative environments where kids can grow in their faith and families feel supported.

The Kids Director develops leaders, builds healthy volunteer teams, and implements systems that ensure consistent, high-quality ministry across weekly programming and special events.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and execute weekly kids programming including nursery that is safe, engaging, and spiritually formative across all age groups and ability levels
• Develop and sustain a growing volunteer team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and retention of leaders
• Oversee and implement age-appropriate curriculum and small group environments that support consistent spiritual development
• Plan and execute key seasonal events and experiences (e.g., Kids Camp/VBS, holiday events, family gatherings) that engage kids and families
• Establish and maintain systems for safety, communication, and family engagement, including adherence to Safe Sanctuary policies Organization Responsibilities
• Collaborate across departments to support the church’s discipleship pathway (Worship + Group + Team)
• Partner with families by providing communication, resources, and encouragement for faith development at home
• Invest in leadership development by raising up volunteers and team leaders
• Support church-wide initiatives, special services, and key moments in the life of the church
• Participate in ministry staff and family ministry teams
• Contribute to a unified and healthy staff culture

• High emotional intelligence, relational warmth, and team-oriented leadership

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Relevant ministry experience required

Travel: Occasional travel for conferences, training, and church-related events

Compensation is competitive based on experience and qualifications.
