Kids Pastor / Director

The Opportunity

For over 138 years, FBC Winter Garden has been a church on mission in Central Florida — planting churches, founding schools, and reaching families. Under new senior pastoral leadership, we are in a season of measurable growth and deliberate team building. Kids Ministry is not supplemental to our vision. It is central to it.

Our Promise

Meet Jesus. Make Friends. Have Fun. Be Safe. This is the FBC Kids promise to every child and family. We champion an age-stage ministry model, partner with parents as the primary disciple-makers of the home, and hold child safety to the highest standard without exception.

The Role

We are looking for a Kids Ministry Director or Kids Pastor (ordained male candidates) to lead all aspects of Sunday morning and Wednesday evening programming for infants through 5th grade, including AWANA. The incoming leader will own our vision to implement HyFi as the ministry-wide curriculum and shepherd a serve team of 100+ names.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
• Vacation, sick, personal days, and a birthday day off annually
• Retirement match through Guidestone
• MacBook for ministry use
• Relocation bonus if applicable
• Full tuition benefit at Foundation Academy (K–12) and Winter Garden Academy (FBC's Preschool)

The Place

Winter Garden is one of Central Florida's most beloved communities — walkable, historic, and full of young families. Golf cart district, Saturday Farmers Market, West Orange Trail, and minutes from Disney. A growing mission field at your door.

Now seeing 600+ in weekly attendance across three Sunday services at our Downtown Campus on historic Plant Street, FBCWG is a 138-year-old Southern Baptist congregation with deep roots and fresh momentum. We are a truly multi-generational, multicultural church with a growing young family segment, a meaningful Spanish and Portuguese presence, and a congregation that is generous, mission-minded, and hungry to see God move.

We also steward two of the most significant institutions in our community:

Winter Garden Academy: Our church-owned preschool serving nearly 200 children from birth through Pre-K. With 40+ teachers and a curriculum rooted in Christian formation, WGA is one of the most sought-after early childhood programs in West Orange County — a visible expression of our conviction to reach young hearts and families with the gospel.

Foundation Academy: A K–12 Christian school of 1,500 students, founded by this church in 1958 and incorporated in 2000. FA has become one of Central Florida's premier Christian educational institutions and operates in close relationship with FBCWG as one of our church's most significant ministry partnerships.

Life in Winter Garden

Walkable, historic, and idyllic, Winter Garden is one of Central Florida's most beloved communities — known for its golf cart district, celebrated Saturday Farmers Market, and the West Orange Trail. It is a community sprawling with young families putting down roots and looking for a church that can meet them where they are. The mission field is at your door and the quality of life is to be desired. And with Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld just minutes away, it's a great place to raise a family.
