Position Overview

Russell Baptist Church is seeking a Director or Pastor of Youth & Young Adults who senses a clear calling to disciple students and young adults, partner with parents, and lead gospel-centered ministry within the life of the local church. This position will work closely with pastoral leadership to shepherd, teach, and develop young people toward spiritual maturity and active involvement in the church.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Youth and Young Adults ministry (middle school, high school, and young adults)
• Teach the Bible faithfully and regularly in age-appropriate settings
• Disciple students and young adults through relational ministry and personal investment
• Equip and support parents in the spiritual formation of their children
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers
• Plan and coordinate weekly gatherings, events, and discipleship opportunities
• Collaborate with pastoral staff and ministry teams to integrate students and young adults into the broader life of the church
• Provide pastoral care, encouragement, and leadership within the ministry

Required Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a calling to ministry
• Agreement with the doctrinal beliefs and mission of Russell Baptist Church
• Commitment to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture
• Strong communication and relational skills
• Ability to lead, organize, and disciple others

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Ministry experience with students and/or young adults
• Theological education or formal ministry training
• Experience recruiting and leading volunteer teams
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• A shepherd’s heart with a passion for discipling the next generation

Compensation: Total compensation package ranges from $55,000–$78,000, including salary and benefits, depending on qualifications and need for insurance.
