The Music Minister is responsible for providing leadership, training, program development, and cultivating the congregation's spiritual formation through the Worship Ministry of Christ Fellowship Church in a way that consistently points the congregation to the Gospel. This is a position that is under the direct supervision of the Lead Pastor and, by extension, the Administrative Council.
The requirements of the position are as follows
- To lead in a worshipful life both on and off the stage
- To contribute to the mission of The Church through Worship
- To plan, organize, and lead in regular services of worship at CFC
- To pursue leading worship not as a performance but as worship
- To in consultation with the Lead Pastor, plan, organize, and execute community programs related to the Worship Ministry of CFC
- To provide and organize all necessary worship aids to musicians and congregations, including but not limited to sheet music, prayer guides, and visual aids for worship
- To collaborate with the Lead Pastor to plan musical elements of worship with an eye toward spiritual formation
- To supervise all musicians, both vocal and instrumental, paid and unpaid
- Plan, organize, and execute other special services as assigned by the Lead Pastor
- Equip, teach, and provide systems for every generation at CFC to understand and engage with the role of music in worship
