Overview: 

Chapel Hill Baptist Church is seeking a Media Specialist to join our Media Team. In this role, you will develop social media content and manage the social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram & Twitter). In addition, you will support the Media Team during Sunday Services and other in-person events as needed.

This role requires that the employee reside in the Greater Metropolitan Detroit area and spend 1-3 days in the office each week, but will have the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week. In addition, we want to build this ministry to be national and worldwide, which would move the position into a full-time position.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop content for social media platforms to include filming and editing. 
  • Build and put out pastoral messages on media each week.
  • Improve our overall methodology of outreach by media means
  • Increase social presence nationally and globally
  • Maintain calendar of content to be posted and developed
  • Monitors and updates website/app/social media pages 
  • Administer new products that will be introduced to the team. Ensure the quality of products being added to the customer experience
  • Monitors social media analytics and provide recommendations based on the data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Test media products and deliver the final product.
  • Works with Media Team on Sunday to live stream service, including operating soundboard and computer

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3 years of experience using media software programs, online media platforms, social media, and digital media programming.
  • Proficient in advanced media development.
  • Advanced skills in coordinating projects, data content administration, technology systems, and processes
  • Detail-oriented with a strong desire for data accuracy.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with a Christian audience
  • Ability to use and interpret data from social marketing campaigns
