Movement Ministry is the English-speaking ministry partner of Church of the Cross - Chandler (“CTCC”), within the Korean Presbyterian Church in America (KPCA - Kosin), which has been serving the Phoenix metropolitan area for over 40 years. Movement Ministry operates independently from CTCC, while sharing the facility and partnering in the youth and children’s ministries that serve both Movement and CTCC congregations. Movement Ministry’s congregation demographic is spread evenly amongst college students, young adults, and families of predominantly pan-Asian ethnicities with growing diversity. Movement Ministry is experiencing an exciting time of rapid growth and is seeking to hire an associate pastor, with focus on member care and discipleship. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Leadership Team to oversee and grow  various church ministries, with a focus on member care, life group ministries, college ministry, discipleship programs, and intercessory prayer team
• Develop and implement member care, including connecting members to mental health resources and partnerships
• Oversee and mentor church staff, lay leaders, and volunteers
• Preach on rotation.

Qualifications:

• Has reformed theology and embraces a gospel-centered philosophy of ministry
• Degree from an accredited seminary preferred
• Prior shepherding and discipleship ministry experience
• Highly personable, communicative, and collaborative
• Passionate about discipling believers
• Professionalism, discernment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues

Compensation:

• Salary: 60K+, commensurate with experience and education
• Benefits: health, retirement, and phone plan. Relocation reimbursement provided.
