First Baptist Church of Clermont, Florida, is a growing and vibrant church committed to making disciples and strengthening families in an increasingly secular culture. We seek a Family Pastor who will lead and develop ministries for children, youth, and families to grow spiritually and numerically. The ultimate goal is to build thriving Christian families who stand firm in their faith.
Qualifications
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ with a vital and growing personal relationship with Him.
- A commitment to moral purity, a healthy family life, and alignment with our church's mission, vision, and doctrine.
- A passion for developing strong, God-honoring families.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. A seminary degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience: At least five years of ministry leadership experience in family, youth, or children's ministry.
- Age Preference: Ideally, they should be in their 30s or early 40s to relate well to young families while having solid experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of children, youth, and family ministries.
- Develop and implement a long-term vision for family discipleship.
- Equip and empower parents to evangelize and disciple their children.
- Organize and oversee effective programs for children, youth, and parents, integrating evangelism, worship, discipleship, ministry, and fellowship.
- Mentor and develop leaders and volunteers in family ministries.
- Provide spiritual counseling and support to families.
- Oversee curriculum selection, ensuring it aligns with sound biblical teaching.
- Ensure a safe and engaging environment for children, youth, and families.
- Stay current on best practices in family ministry by reading widely and attending conferences.
- Actively participate in worship services and church leadership meetings.
- Have fun while serving the Lord and growing His church!

- A gifted teacher with substantial biblical and theological depth.
- Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office, video projection, PowerPoint, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 (based on education and experience).
