Pastor

Sycamore Grove Mennonite Church is a small country church committed to standing firm on the Word of God. We were founded as a Mennonite church and are currently affiliated with the Conservative Mennonite Conference. We hold to Anabaptist theology as outlined in the 1963 Mennonite Confession of Faith, which includes the supremacy of scripture and believer’s baptism. The pastor will need to understand the CMC Statement of Theology and Statement of Practice and be affirmed by leaders of the CMC conference. We are shepherded by elders, including the pastor. A church board handles the care of material needs of the church. Our church is multigenerational with an average attendance of approximately 100. We are a missions-minded church who desire to continue to work in our community and abroad to spread the Gospel of Christ.

We are looking for a full time pastor who will serve as the spiritual leader of the congregation. He must be a man of honest report and eager to be about the Lord’s service. He must be a man dedicated to the pursuit of God supremely, the study of Scripture faithfully, shepherding and discipling the members of the congregation and seeking God prayerfully. He will be responsible for preaching the Bible accurately, visiting the sick and providing counsel to those in need. We prefer a graduate of a recognized seminary or Bible college with at least 5-10 years of experience.
