Job Title: Bible / Theology Teacher (Online – Remote)

Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Bible/Theology Teacher to deliver engaging, biblically sound instruction in an online learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Scripture, Christian theology, and spiritual formation, with the ability to teach students effectively through virtual platforms.
This is a fully remote position requiring reliable internet access, proficiency in online teaching tools, and a commitment to Christian faith-based education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Teach courses in Biblical Studies, Christian Theology, Church History, Apologetics, Ethics, or related subjects.
- Develop and deliver engaging online lessons via live video sessions and/or pre-recorded lectures.
- Integrate Scripture, theological scholarship, and practical application into coursework.
- Use learning management systems (LMS) to organize course materials and assignments.
2. Curriculum Development
- Design lesson plans aligned with doctrinal statements and institutional standards.
- Update course content to ensure theological accuracy and relevance.
- Incorporate resources from respected theologians such as Augustine of Hippo, Thomas Aquinas, Martin Luther, and John Calvin (as appropriate to denominational context).
3. Student Engagement & Mentorship
- Facilitate online discussions and theological reflection.
- Provide spiritual guidance and academic support.
- Grade assignments, exams, and written theological reflections.
- Offer timely and constructive feedback.
4. Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate academic records.
- Participate in virtual faculty meetings and professional development.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents (if applicable).
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Divinity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Scripture and systematic theology.
- Clear statement of faith consistent with the institution.
- Experience teaching in a classroom or online environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Zoom, Google Classroom, Canvas, or similar platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office space.
Preferred:
- Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theology (ThM), or Doctor of Ministry (DMin).
- Ministry or pastoral experience.
- Experience in online discipleship or digital ministry.
- Familiarity with various theological traditions (Evangelical, Reformed, Catholic, Pentecostal, etc.).
