Character Requirements
Community Christian Church located in Richmond, KY in the heart of the bluegrass. Community is in search of a biblically grounded, faithfully firm individual to lead the church as our next Senior Minister. If you describe yourself as Spirit-led, Relational, Storyteller, Self Starter or Life Long Learner, then we would love to talk to you. In this high trust environment, you will have the opportunity to continue to grow the culture and discipleship of the church. In order to continue to grow as a congregation, we look forward to having our next Senior Minister in place as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Your New Church Family
On your first Sunday as you walk into the doors of the church, you will be greeted by many smiling warm faces. Many of these smiling faces have been with our church since the beginning. As you look around, you will see plenty of our family in conversation with each other or serving in some capacity. Most churches describe their people wearing anything from jeans to suits, and here you will see that is true. Come and shake hands, drink a cup of coffee and see this highly relational congregation in action. After you spend some time here we believe you will use words to describe the culture as friendly, loving, caring and even generous.
General Expectations
When you look at the congregation, you will see a benchmark that each one of us are being held to. From being active in the main worship service to tithing, we hold each other accountable so that we are grounded in the work that Jesus is doing here, not the work of our hands. From serving in a volunteer capacity in a different ministry to participating in a spiritual growth study, we care about you and your growth as a leader in this church.
General Ministry Responsibilities
As the Senior Minister, we look to you as the driving force in establishing a disciple making culture. Whether that is preparing and delivering Sunday morning sermons to Wednesday night bible studies, you are set up to guide and disciple the congregation of Community Christian. When you ask the congregation what the main responsibilities will be for this role you will hear things like "lead the church in making disciples", or "to lead and sheppard", and even "guide the church to spiritually grow". As with any Senior Minister role, you will have the opportunity to set and grow the mission and vision of the church. The desire is to be disciples who make disciples. If this describes you, we would love to talk with you.
What Community Christian is bringing to the Table
We have spent some time talking about what is required of the role or what we are asking you to bring to the table. Let us take a minute to let you know what we are bringing to the table. At Community Christian, you will find a building that includes a 120 seat auditorium that is used primarily for Sunday morning services and can be used for other large events. You will have your own office where you are welcome to work during the week as well as a computer that we provide. The ideal work week would be holding office hours 4 days during the week with two other days off besides Sunday. We don't want you in the building by yourself the whole time, we are happy for you to be relational and be present in the community by working from a local coffee shop.
**Please provide resume and link to sermons with application.
